so i’ve been hesitating on this new wednesday theme i’d like to roll out on the blog but i am finally going for it. want to know why i’ve been putting it off for so long?

here’s the thing. in the past three years, since i’ve gotten more serious about my daily devotionals, i’ve come across some bible verses that feel like they were literally written for the day i am having. i repeat them to myself throughout the week, pick specific ones to focus on for certain days, and keep a running list on my phone. i am also a total sucker for a well lettered quote on a cute farmhouse sign. on etsy, i want them all.

i had this idea that i would start sharing some of my favorite verses and quotes on wednesdays. but then i thought to myself, “who am i to be sharing bible verses?” here’s the other thing. i am not even a LITTLE bit of a bible expert. truly, the bible is overwhelming to me. more than once i’ve attempted to read it and let me tell you, i know a thing or two about genesis. but that’s as far as i ever get. i’ve been hesitant to roll out this theme because of my limited knowledge. but then i read today’s verse from the proverbs 31 daily devotionals.

as is so often the case, this seemed to speak to the thoughts in my head. it gave me courage to start my new wednesday theme. i don’t need to be a bible expert to share God’s word. His word will always achieve the purpose for which He sent it, no matter who is sharing. even non-bible experts like me. whew. that’s a load off. happy wednesday and as always…
