1. trying out a new coffee house/playroom with the kids and friends and being served a piping hot chai in a friends style mug {with saucer!}. i had just enough time to sip the foam off the top before trading in my grown up mug for one with a lid. someday i will enjoy a whole cup of coffee in a fancy breakable mug and i will have time to drink the whole thing before reheating. but for now, i am quite happy with disposable.
2. starting spring break off with a trip to hobby lobby where the kids and a friend could pick out any one craft $10 or less. not surprisingly, E chose a crazy, foam mannequin head and wooden arrow and K chose a cute, paintable butterfly box. i laughed myself through the whole store looking at E with that head.
3. E telling me, head and arrow in hand, that he felt just like chip from fixer upper when he goes antiquing with jo because he always picks out the weird, random stuff.
4. the three-foot, homemade, construction paper shark that currently hangs suspended from our second story balcony.
5. when the forecast calls for rain and it never does.
6. breakfast for dinner, per the kids’ request.
7. clean kids after a bath.
8. putting my engagement ring back on after a long, cold winter of dry hands.
9. remembering to water the flowers.
10. folding the couch blankets and putting them away.
