1. happy birthday to one of my longest and dearest friends kelly. {and sending her a text this morning that said happy Ruth day instead of happy birthday. i am the worst at text typos!}
2. second days of school without all the newness and anxiety of first days. we talked a lot last year about being the person who includes other people and notices if someone is feeling new or left out. my friend jen, who always has all the words, has such a sweet blog post on this at her blog many the gifts. if you are a mama checking your phone while your kids are at school, this post is for you.
3. a happy dance and a happy face when E walks off the bus.
4. K asking me “when will it be time for E to get home” starting at 9:30am.
5. not being able to find the new shoes i bought for E {still!} and him not caring and just wearing last year’s shoes. there’s a really good chance they don’t even fit him.
6. nothing on the schedule for tomorrow.
7. E never complaining about his jobs, which we’ve continued into the school year without any extra delays or challenges.
8. my neighbor kim watching K so i could nap, oversleeping my alarm, and still making it to the bus because it is late the first week of school. whew.
9. deciding tomorrow is the day i will figure out a solution for our tupperware and lids, which are all over everywhere in the cabinet beneath our island.
10. taking K with me to hear the baby’s heartbeat followed by an easy morning at our friend’s pool.
