1. E continuing his weekly tradition of getting a book for K at his school library, despite the fact that fancy nancy books aren’t exactly cool for first grade boys.
2. lighting my favorite birthday cake candle on the coffee table at the end of the night so it is there smelling good when i come back down after putting the kids to bed.
3. ketchup, salt, and pepper because they all make my kids eat things they say they don’t like.
4. listening to K sound out words along with a phonics app we have.
5. getting the new janet evanovich book from the library, even though they all kind of read the same way, sometimes mindless is welcome.
6. the kids keeping the basement clean because we finally have a place for everything.
7. what the pillows look like when the kids arrange them on the couch.
8. buying K pink strawberry cake mix at the store because she really wanted it and i usually say no to things like that.
9. doing four loads of laundry today so i don’t have to do any tomorrow.
10. E getting off the bus at a friend’s house after school and remembering how much fun that was as a kid.
