1. happy birthday to my fun, optimistic, creative, beautiful sister molly, one of my longest friends andy, and our spirited and witty gammy in heaven.
2. making the decision to go on the Christ Renews His Parish retreat this weekend at my church.
3. getting ready this morning in a completely quiet house.
4. walking into the retreat and having someone take my bags, set up my air mattress, and get my bed made for me.
5. being served breakfast by past retreat goers, who gave up their saturday morning to make us feel welcome.
6. the courage i saw in each witness as she spoke in front of our group.
7. the endless goodies and treats and diet coke on hand all weekend.
8. meeting new friends and looking forward to seeing familiar faces at church each week.
9. receiving surprise letters from friends and family.
10. celebrating molly’s birthday with my dad’s delicious cheesesteaks and the company of my whole family {and taking extra homemade ice-cream cake home for tomorrow}.
