in honor of mother’s day and the hardest job in the world, today’s little things are all about my mom…
1. the way my mom used to sing me to sleep and how those are still the songs i sing to myself when i need to relax and calm down.
2. the fact that my mom will always be the prettiest woman in the world.
3. remembering my mom sewing for hours to make us matching dresses, complete with matching hair bows.
4. the way my mom could always do the best french braids.
5. my mom’s ability to always see the positive in every situation.
6. the way my mom never held our mistakes against us. she allowed us to be sorry and move on.
7. the fact that no matter how much i try to convince myself i have a handle on a difficult situation, as soon as i start to tell my mom about it i cry because i know she’s going to see right through my brave facade.
8. the way my mom always stuck to what she knew was right, even if it wasn’t the popular choice.
9. remembering baking with my mom and sharing a love for everything chocolate.
10. the fact that i would like nothing more than to be just like my mom when i grow up.
11. the knowledge that 10 little things really just isn’t enough today and i could write a hundred more on this subject.
please share your little things about your mom (and don’t forget to send them to her too)!

awwww I love this post! You must get all those awesome qualities from your mom because you two are very much alike!

Thank you for the special tribute Erin! You make being a Mom a complete joy. I hope your readers are inspired to send a few little things to their Moms as well, even if they do arrive the day after Mother’s Day. And here are a couple of mine:
1. Having the blessing of 4 beautiful daughters
2. Reading the Little Things and knowing they come from a very special daughter who finds the good in all things and all people
Love you,
Mom
