beth’s LITTLE things

your LITTLE things

beth friday friends

meet beth.

there is seriously no one like her. we met through a mutual friend more than seventeen years ago. we were 10. so that makes me 27. keep believing that.

17 years of friendship means we are old. more importantly, it means she is the best friend ever for sticking around for so long. here’s the story. a friend of mine met beth at a concert. let me tell you, beth is fun. and cheerful. and easy to talk to. and friendly. and smart. she is the kind of friend anyone would be blessed to have. after the concert, my friend called me and said, “i met this girl and you need to meet her. i just know you would be good friends. she is totally your type of friend.” isn’t that kind of crazy?

so we met. we bonded freshman year of college over both kind of hating it, but wanting to love it {eventually we did}. without knowing it, we pledged the same sorority. and by the luck of the draw, literally, we were paired as roommates sophomore year. God wanted us to be friends.

i was messy {yes! can you believe i used to be messy!?}. i liked to sleep in. beth was neat and tidy and put everything away. she woke up every morning at 5am. i praised jesus that i could keep sleeping. her brain works completely different than mine. yet somehow…here we are. we don’t live close anymore. that’s hard. but we talk weekly and text daily. and when we’re together, its like its been that way all along.

beth is supportive. kind. loyal. passionate. and she’s sharing her LITTLE things today for

ntlt friday friends

welcome bethie! thank you for noticing and sharing.

here is beth’s list for 9.30.16

1.  the smell of coffee.

2.  getting up early. {see, i told you.} i’ve always been an early riser and now that i have a little one, i’m and even earlier riser. many ask how/why i do it, but i just love the slow, quiet time in the morning and sunrises {like the one below}. also, refer back to #1.

3. canceling meetings, and the result being many hours added back into my day.

4.  having a spontaneous lunch date with my hubby.

5.  when toddlers sing adult songs. {my 3-year-old is loving adele’s send my love right now.}

6.  robot vacuums. SO worth it. buy one.

7.  leftovers.

8.  being there for a friend.

9.  starting a new book.

10.  sleeping with the windows open.

thanks bethie!
