meet my friend chelsy.
to be fair, she was my sister meghan’s friend first. it’s tough to remember when i first got to put a face with the name i heard meghan mention so often. chelsy and meghan met and became friends in college. knowing this, i must have met chelsy when i visited meghan at depauw, but my brain doesn’t want to remember those details right now. what really matters, is that chelsy and i are friends now and i am so happy about that.
in the past couple years, i’ve gotten to see chelsy more often. most important to note are our weekly bachelor/bachelorette get-togethers whenever a new season airs. we are halfway hopeless romantics, halfway totally cynical. yet we return to the couch, season after season. we at least try to go to a workout class before we watch. that way we can balance out all the ice cream we eat during the show.
speaking of workout classes, chelsy works for the Y. she speaks in front of important people and works to get legislation passed to improve the health of our community. i am not even sure i explained that right it is so impressive to me.
chelsy is friendly, easy-going, super fun, and maybe just a tad bit competitive {especially when we’re playing games at the lake}. she is smart, laughs a lot, not afraid to get her hands dirty on a diy home project, totally rocks the one side up hairdo {that i think we learned from the bachelor}, and oh did i mention she’s a first time mama-to-be? cannot wait to meet that baby! i am so grateful for chelsy’s support of the LITTLE things and for all her noticing…and she’s sharing her own LITTLE things today for
ntlt friday friends
welcome chelsy! thank you for noticing and sharing.
here is chelsy’s list for 11.18.16
1. finding something you actually need, not just want {that happens all the time too} in the dollar spot at target.
2. dinner plans with friends that were made at the last minute.
3. when i curl my hair for a wedding and it’s still curly the next day {so that it looks semi-cute while running errands, and isn’t just thrown up in a messy pony tail}.
4. clean sheets and a freshly made bed.
5. left over halloween candy.
6. lighting a new fall-scented candle.
7. foot rubs.
8. the way it looks like we raked up all the leaves in our yard, when they actually just got mulched from the lawn mower. so much quicker!
9. cat naps on the couch on a sunny afternoon.
10. knowing you only have a four-day work week ahead of you.
