1. repainting an old frame and hanging something new at the top of our stairs {three years after just sticking a picture we had on the nails left by the old owner!}.
2. colorful stripes.
3. thinking we were out of printer paper but finding a couple pieces to tide us over until our new paper arrives tomorrow.
4. the kids coming in and telling us all about their fun morning with dee dee and papa.
5. hearing that they had nice manners at breakfast.

7. indulging my craving for chocolate ice cream.
8. getting a free comp ticket for symphony on the prairie when i went to buy them today, just because.
