noticing LITTLE birthdays january 23rd

in honor of my very special mom’s birthday, i’d like to share 10 things i love about her.

1.  her smile.

2.  her desire to continually learn new things. she retired. and now she has a new job with new learning and new fun information to share. and she wrote a book, the joypowered family!

3.  talking to her every day.

4.  meeting for coffee, lunch, whatever. any time i can spend with my mom is a good time.

5.  the example she has always set of faith and family first.

6.  her confidence.

7.  watching her with my kids. E, K, and C think she is the nicest, most patient, loving, attentive Grandma Nis and i could not agree more.

8.  calling her house the black hole because you can never just stop over there quickly. you always get sucked into food, comfort, conversation, helping with something, looking for something, or nothing at all. unless i literally stay in the car and make her bring something out to me, i end up staying hours longer than i planned {and so do my sisters}.

9.  her style. she always looks put together and i love the way her house is decorated.

10.  the way she never, ever stayed upset when we were LITTLE. she was always quick to forgive and and move on. what a lesson to teach!
